The honoree is selected from society members who are younger than 51-years old on April 1st each year.
The Young Researcher Award of The Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan is presented to a young and energetic researcher (SFSTJ members) aged less than 36 on April 1 each year, who is expected to have an active future in textile research.
The Technology Award of The Society of Fiber Science and Technology, Japan is presented to an individual or group who has conducted studies of significance, developed new inventions, or contributed to developments in the fiber industry. This award has engineering and marketing sections.
The Award for the Outstanding Paper in JFST is presented to an SFSTJ member who has published work of significance on fiber science and technology in Journal of Fiber Science and Technology (JFST) in the last year (from Jan. to Dec.).
The Award for the Outstanding Paper on Paper and Pulp Science and Technology is presented to a young and energetic SFSTJ member who has contributed more than two works of significance on paper and pulp science and technology, published in the society journals for the last five years.
The Excellent Presentation Award in the Annual Meeting is presented to an SFSTJ member who has given a remarkable oral presentation at the annual meeting. The honoree is selected from society members aged less than 40 on June 1st each year. Student candidates for this award are limited to doctor-course students.
The Excellent Poster Award in the Annual Meeting is presented to an SFSTJ member who has given a remarkable poster presentation in the annual meeting. The honoree is selected from SFSTJ members aged less than 30 and do not yet have any doctoral degree on June 1 each year.
